† LEARNING AND COMMUNITY †

Foundations Group

If you are interested in learning more about what we believe, why we believe it, and how it all fits into today's world, then the FOUNDATIONS class might be just the place for you! Come out to ask questions and discuss topics with Jim and others in an open, non-threatening setting - an open gathering for any in our community to bring their questions about our Christian faith and get to know one another better through learning and group discussion. Gathering held weekly for 8-12 weeks and led by Pastor Jim.

Concluded for 2010. Upcoming dates and times for 2011 or beyond: TBA.

Book Club

Pick up a copy of the monthly selection and then get together for fellowship and discussion about our God, ourselves, and His presence in our lives. For more information on the month's book and YOUR suggested titles, display boards are periodically set up by the coffee/snack table before Sunday services.

February's title was "Jim & Casper Go To Church" by Jim Henderson and Matt Casper. A former pastor hires an atheist for a frank evaluation of 12 different church services in the USA, with thought-provoking results. A quick read at 169 pages with short, conversational-style chapters perfect for those with limited reading time.

Next book and discussion meeting date: TBA.
Interest in participating or hosting the discussion meeting can be sent to Carrie.
